DTR Scanning, Mobile App & Biometrics
TimeboxHR includes our own DTR Scanning Web Application and Mobile Attendance App in every license package — scan by camera, QR Code, Employee ID, or barcode reader; or time in and out via photo with geofencing on mobile. Barcode scanner: we provide or you provide. Biometrics: we integrate for a small per-device charge, or your IT integrates using our API and import facilities.
Built-in DTR Scanning Web Application
Every license package includes our DTR Scanning Web Application at no additional cost. Employees record attendance by scanning their assigned QR Code or Employee ID using a supported device with a camera, or you may purchase a barcode reader device. Records sync automatically with Timekeeping and Payroll for accurate, real-time tracking.
For dedicated barcode reader devices at your time-in station, you have two options: we provide the scanner, or you provide the scanner and we configure it for you.

Mobile Attendance App
Employees can time in and time out from their mobile phone using a photo capture — ideal for field teams, remote sites, and staff who are not at a fixed gate or scanner station.
Geofencing ensures attendance is recorded only within approved branch or work-site boundaries. Location and photo records sync automatically with Timekeeping and Payroll, alongside scans from the DTR Web App and biometrics.

Biometric integration — two options
Use fingerprint or face recognition with devices we provide, hardware you purchase, or systems you already have. Choose who connects them to TimeboxHR:
- Option 1 — We integrate for you We connect your biometric devices to TimeboxHR end to end. A small charge applies per device.
- Option 2 — Your IT integrates Your IT team or biometric vendor handles the connection. We provide REST API, Push API, and import facilities at no per-device integration fee.
